HEADCORN HALF MARATHON
Sunday 11th April 2021
A UKA approved and correctly measured 13.1 mile course that starts and finishes on Days Green in Headcorn which is situated on the main A274. Once out of the village the road takes you on to the Smarden Bell, Egerton Forstal and Southernden before returning to Race HQ. Most of the course is fairly flat with a small rise at 5 miles and undulations between 8.5-10 miles. The race is capped at 500 runners and entries have reached this figure every year since its first appearance in 2014. Race HQ is at Headcorn Primary School where you will find registration, and toilets.
Please note, registration will be slightly different this year. It will still be in the hall but using ‘free-flow’ system. Only three entrants will be allowed in the hall to collect their numbers at any one time. They will enter the hall via the main door, collect their number and move out of the hall through another door. Entrants will not be able to stay in the hall.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer baggage storage this year.
The start will be slightly different this year too. We will be calling people forward in groups of 6 where you will stand on the 6 starting points set out. Once your group is in position we will count down and set you off allowing a few seconds between each group.
Excellent marshalling, signage, medals and trophies (includes team and age groups) all add to a great race experience. Come and run your PB here!
Chip timing will be provided by NE Timing.
